Marketing agency and production company NTRNZ media launches a responsible marketing service. The company was awarded the WWF Green Office environmental certificate in June. Known for its Eränkävijät series, NTRNZ wants to challenge the entire media industry to rethink its values. The responsible marketing service was born out of a desire to change the marketing and media industry from within.

Unfortunately, our industry has contributed to the current climate crisis and nature loss, because our work is often about getting people to consume more.

Laura Tauriainen, copywriter

“We have the opportunity to change the way the industry works, make it sustainable and set a trend for others to follow. Not forgetting, of course, other areas, social and economic responsibility, which are more relevant than ever.”

Laura Tauriainen has developed the new service together with Client Director Nina Taipaleenmäki and CEO Hanna Mustonen. They believe that responsibility should not be buried in reports, but part of corporate strategy and therefore also brand communication.

Each company should do responsibility work according to its own capabilities. We offer services to make it visible and to report on it.

Nina Taipaleenmäki, Client Director

“The service can include responsibility consulting in addition to the production of materials. The content is always tailored to the client. We help companies in the early stages of responsibility work to establish reporting practices, but can also build very comprehensive responsibility communication packages according to the client’s needs.”

NTRNZ media’s strength is storytelling, making the client’s message visible and bringing them marketing tools and solutions. Sustainability data generation or auditing services have their own experts, and choosing them with the client can be part of the service.

WWF environmental certification as a sign of sustainability

NTRNZ media has just been awarded the WWF Green Office environmental certificate, a sign that the company’s environmental impact is sustainable and is being further developed. For NTRNZ, sustainability and responsibility have long been core values. The company is known for its Eränkävijät series, which focuses on the Finns’ relationship with nature. NTRNZ also works on sustainability in their TV and format productions by participating in training courses by the albert environmental system and taking the tools it provides into use in productions.

Pure northern nature has always been an essential source of inspiration and strength for us.

Hanna Mustonen, CEO

“In this global situation, we are extremely concerned about the carrying capacity of nature and feel it is our duty to contribute to safeguarding biodiversity for future generations.”

Responsibility is not just about environmental actions, but a holistic way of looking at a company’s activities and their impact on the world around it. Mustonen has made the development of sustainability a part of NTRNZ’s strategy.

“We develop our own activities and encourage our customers and stakeholders to join us,” says Mustonen.

By helping our own customers to communicate their sustainability in an interesting way, we also help their customers to find more sustainable, responsible alternatives.

Hanna Mustonen, CEO
