Bothnian Coastal Route
Online services
The Bothnian Coastal Route is a project that links Finnish and Swedish tourist destinations. Its intention is to raise awareness of the coastal route around Bothnian Bay and Kvarken as an attractive destination for European tour operators.
We created an online service where tour operators can learn about the region’s tourism services and products and combine them to create attractive tours for their customers. By registering as a user, they can also create their own travel plans.
Implementation of the Bothnian Coastal Route web service
We designed the concept for the Bothnian Coastal Route website: structure, functionality, tone of voice, and texts. We also implemented the DataHub database integration, where the national database of tourism services and products was brought onto the website.
Our team, who have worked together on previous website projects and are skilled in languages, enjoyed working with a joint Nordic client. During the project, we occasionally had meetings in three languages and of course, also trained the client on how to use and maintain the site. Finally, we helped with the launch materials for the new site, from the newsletter to the landing page.
