David Blaine: Do Not Attempt is a bold new TV series by National Geographic, featuring world-renowned magician and endurance artist David Blaine.
The six-part series follows him as Blaine explores the world through the lens of magic, seeking out incredible individuals who perform real feats that resemble magic.

NTRNZ Creative proud co-producer of the Arctic episode
In Do Not Attempt, Blaine embarks on a jaw-dropping journey through some of the world’s most extraordinary cultures. The first episode takes viewers to the frozen landscapes of Finnish Lapland, where Blaine defies the boundaries of human performance in extreme cold.
In the Arctic episode, Blaine teams up with Finnish aerial acrobat and freediver Salla Hakanpää, as well as multiple-time Finnish national team freediver Miro Suonperä, to undertake one of his most ambitious stunts yet: an under-ice dive in the off-grid wilderness of Kilpisjärvi.
The Arctic episode also features Ken Stornes, the Norwegian adventurer and athlete, known for his daring stunts. Stornes broke the world record for the highest death dive few years ago.

The Arctic episode of Blaine’s new series is a showcase of creativity, risk, and resilience – and the result of a international collaboration.
The production was led by U.S. based Imagine Entertainment, with NTRNZ Creative serving as a co-producer, bringing local input and expertise to the challenging Arctic environment.
“Our role was to ensure that David’s team could focus on what they do best. For us, it was important that he could trust us with local logistics, safety, and production support. Also from the creative angle,” says Teemu Hostikka, CEO of NTRNZ Creative and local producer for the episode.
“We are proud to be part of this one-of-a-kind collaboration, working side by side with some of the best in the industry. We’re thrilled to add our local Arctic expertise into this ambitious production.”

Finnish premiere set for March 30
David Blaine: Do Not Attempt” premiered in the United States on Sunday, March 23, 2025, on National Geographic. The series is also available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu starting the following day.
In Finland, the series is set to premiere on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 9:00 PM on National Geographic. It will also be available on Disney+ for Finnish viewers.
