With almost 800 000 viewers for some of the episodes, the series has grown its audience especially among the young and particularly on YLE’s VOD service Areena. In social media, tens of thousands of fans follow the lives and adventures of the main characters in Finnish nature.
The series, first aired in 2016, continues to win over its audience and the TV professionals year after year. Eränkävijät has been nominated ten times and has won four Golden Venla awards granted by the Finnish Television Academy.
